Custom Concrete Countertops β€” Southern California

A concrete countertop isn't something you pick off a showroom floor. It's crafted specifically for your space β€” your dimensions, your edge profile, your color, your finish. The result is a surface that exists nowhere else in the world.

Matthew Hewitt has been casting custom concrete countertops for over 15 years, working with homeowners across Southern California who want something genuinely different for their kitchen, outdoor kitchen, BBQ island, or bar area.

Cast-in-Place Countertops

Formed and poured directly in your space, cast-in-place countertops are ideal for complex layouts with multiple sections, built-in sinks, or irregular shapes. There are no seams from installation, and the results are structurally integral with your cabinetry.

Precast Concrete Countertops

Precast countertops are cast in our shop and installed as finished slabs. This allows for greater control over mix quality, embedded objects, and surface finishing before the piece ever reaches your home. Precast is ideal for simpler layouts and when shop-level finishing quality is desired.

Outdoor Kitchen & Bar Countertops

Outdoor concrete countertops are one of our most popular products. Durable enough for year-round SoCal outdoor use, they're typically sealed to resist UV, water, and food staining. We work with your outdoor kitchen builder, or we can handle the whole project ourselves.

Custom Edge Profiles & Embedded Features

Concrete countertops allow for fully custom edge profiles β€” from simple eased edges to complex ogees and specialty forms. We can embed wood, stone, metal, glass, or custom objects into the surface. Integrated sinks, drainboards, and drip edges are all possible.

Truly One-of-a-Kind

No two concrete countertops are ever identical. Your slab is cast specifically for your space.

Completely Customizable

Size, shape, color, edge, texture, embedded elements β€” all designed around your vision.

Durable & Heat-Resistant

Sealed concrete handles heat, moisture, and daily kitchen use well. Proper sealing is key.

Outdoor-Ready

Concrete excels in outdoor applications where other countertop materials can fail or fade.

Countertop FAQs

Yes β€” with a proper sealer, concrete countertops handle everyday kitchen use very well. They're heat resistant, hard, and chip-resistant under normal conditions. Like all countertop materials, they have quirks: concrete can develop hairline cracks over time (typically considered character), and acidic liquids should be wiped up promptly on some sealer systems.
Cast-in-place countertops can be poured and sealed in 1–2 days for the work itself, though full cure time is 28 days. Precast countertops require lead time for casting and curing before installation day. We'll give you a realistic timeline during the estimate.
Always. Sealing is essential to protect the surface from staining and moisture penetration. We apply a quality sealer at installation and recommend periodic resealing every 1–3 years depending on use and the sealer type.
